JOHNNY STEWART INDUCTED INTO THE JAMES L. PETIGRU AMERICAN INN OF COURT

CHARLESTON, SC – Clawson and Staubes attorney, Johnny Stewart, was inducted into the James L. Petigru American Inn of Court on August 25, 2017. The Petigru Inn is comprised of judges, lawyers and law students from the Charleston area and meets in Charleston six times throughout the academic year. Each year, approximatately twelve students from the Charleston School of Law are invited into membership based on their demonstrated leadership, professionalism, public service and academic commitment. Stewart was one of the invited members this year. Welcome to the team, Dan Ranaldo!

Dan is an associate in the Charleston office practicing in the area of insurance coverage and insurance defense. In 2003, he graduated from Rutgers University earning a Bachelor of Arts in English with a minor in philosophy and in 2015, he graduated cum laude from Charleston School of Law. Dan earned CALI awards in Constitutional Law and White Collar/Corporate Crime, and he was awarded the Arthur G. Howe Trial Advocacy Award. Additionally, he recently completed a judicial clerkship with The Honorable Roger Young. Dan was admitted to the South Carolina Bar in 2016.

SAM CLAWSON SELECTED FOR INCLUSION IN THE 24TH EDITION OF THE BEST LAWYERS IN AMERICA

Sam Clawson has been selected by his peers for inclusion in the 24th edition of The Best Lawyers in America for his work in insurance law. Clawson served as managing partner at Clawson and Staubes, LLC from 1989 to 2016. Under his leadership, the firm grew from three attorneys to over 35 attorneys and from one office in Charleston, to offices in Charleston, Columbia, Greenville and Charlotte, North Carolina. Clawson has tried numerous cases each year since 1980 for an array of different insurers. A certified mediator, he has been active in the tort defense of individuals, partnerships and corporations. Charleston Office Welcomes Chase McNair

Chase McNair is an associate in the Charleston office practicing in general insurance defense work. He earned his Bachelor’s degree from Clemson University in 2009 and he earned his law degree from the Charleston School of Law in 2012. McNair’s experience includes complex litigation, class actions, employment, business disputes and personal injury litigation. Chase was admitted to the South Carolina Bar in 2012.
